BPTA COFFEE ON JANUARY 15th at 7:00PM – TOPIC: COMMUNITY REFERENDUM
Under the referendum, Briarcliff voters are being asked to approve a project totaling $2,275,966 which includes the use of existing field reserve funds to offset the final cost of remediating the practice field, thereby lowering the final cost to taxpayers. Following the use of these funds, the district would bond a total of $1,525,000 to fund the remainder of the project. The cost of the bond would be spread over a 10 year period. A consent order by the NY State Department of Conservation was issued to the district requiring the remediation of this field so if this referendum is not approved, it will be funded through the annual school budget and have a significant impact on the 2015-2016 school year. We hope you can join us to learn more about this important community vote which will take place on January 21st, 2014 at Todd Elementary School.
